This Saturday, May 7th comes an event that asks the eternal question: Does yo MOMMA know? Let's just get it out of the way: no she does not. A bevy of DJs are prepared to tickle your toes with some feverish beats and transform the Ukrainian Cultural Center into a dancing paradise. The event is all ages, fully permitted, and doesn't slow down till 4:20 in the AM (naturally). You can cancel your plans to go see that movie about the Easter bunny and spend your Saturday night with a crowd full of smiling faces and some of the best on the decks instead.
Kill Pop Records geniuses and globe-trotting DJs Lucky Date and Eli Smith are joined by audio-luminaries Alex Kidd, Swedish Egil, Thee-O and Tonic. This alone should have you scrambling frantically to grab a ticket, but in case you need more convincing the fine folks organizing this shindig have a second stage of heavy hitters. Joe Dirt, Bulim!atron, Item 7 AKA 4MULA 7, Mixwell, Gambit Largo, and OH YEAH the one and only Mr. Tony Largo. You youngsters don't remember the heady days of 1991 when Mr. Tony Largo was pioneering the house scene, but it aint too late to experience the great.
Still not sold? Two words: Free Glowsticks. Or maybe four words: Free Glowsticks FOR EVERYONE! Quick recap: incredible DJs, all ages, free glowsticks, dancing till the wee hours of the morning. Do what you do when yo momma doesn't know.
